[Note: Now see the Today.com Exiles page (click on the tab at top of main page) for as complete a list as we can make of those who were booted from or left Today.com in disgust.]
Well, it seems like there’s a definite pogrom going on at Today.com, of bloggers who:
- weren’t serving as unpaid marketers for the site and dragging in the cash for them;
- actually asked questions about the disadvantageous policies being suddenly foisted on us;
- looked at them the wrong way.
I’m going to create an extra page on this blog in the next day or two, with a list of those who have been liberated from that nasty place. (In the meantime, go visit Flit’s blog, where some of us are making our voices heard.)
I’d appreciate if any other liberated Td.c bloggers would post a comment here, with their new blog address. We need to help each other and stick together.
We’ve learned how not to do it, at our former domicile. Now we can work together and do it right.
Later Edit: If you want your name on other people’s Today Exiles blogrolls as well, here are some of the sites that are posting them (and as I find more, I’ll add them):

Same idea as I had
See here http://hospitalera.com/kicked-from-todaycom/ I am happy to be added to your list and open for a bit of mutual support in promoting our new blogs. And to spread the word about today.com to warn others about their practices. Like you I will not add anybody without their agreement, so please shoot me a comment! SY
Great to see you! I’ll double check later to make sure I’ve actually given permission, in the midst of all my comments there. We need to stick together.
And when I’m done having company this weekend, I’ll set up my new exiles page.
You’ve got mine of course
Thanks for the link
I’m out, though I left partially on purpose (at least one blog); they just kicked me out all the way. I don’t hold with censorship. This is the internet for Heaven’s sake!
You know, of course, where to find me.

Add me to your list! I will be setting up a blogroll for today.com exiles as well. So pop on over to my blog and leave a comment if you want to be added. I will automatically add the links of those who have already commented on my first today.com post unless you tell me you otherwise.
My blog is http://mymutterances.blogspot.com
BTW, I wrote the Being Thrifty and Route 66 blogs over at Today. I’ve also created a Route 66 blog, but there’s nothing there yet.

I just don’t understand the Today.com mentality. Do they not think that no one will find out how they treat bloggers? The blogosphere is big, but not that big. People talk, and word gets around.
I’m doing this same thing on my blog. If you want to be included, please pop over there and leave your links and your Today.com blog names. The blog to do this on is at http://mymutterances.blogspot.com
I wrote the Being Thrifty and Route 66 blogs at Today.com. I will be starting a Route 66 blog as well, at http://azroute66.blogspot.com. I’ll be posting the blogroll on that blog as well when I get it up and running.
I’ve also done a post linking to all the blogs (including this one) that I know of that are doing the blogrolls.
Thanks!
Beth
[...] Let people know where to find you! If you are included in other people’s blogrolls, drop them a note asking that they update your links. Also, if you want to be added to my list of Today.com rejects feel free to drop me a note. There are others as well: hospitalera (formerly GoldenPrague) has one, and here is Bookishgal’s list of Today.com exiles. [...]
I used to blog at Our Right to Self Reliance on the Today.com system. I’ve gone indie
at The How and Why of Self Reliance and put up a page like this one (found at Today.com Expat ) for folks to comment on and get more back links. I’ll be adding a widget of Today.com Expats when I have the info to do so.
Great blog, by the way; I’ll definitely be back!
“Category: Abominations.” <— LOL!
Thanks so much for putting together the list! I’m at “LOST for a Reason” http://www.forareasonblog.com
– Ms Terri, formerly msterri, formerly the author of “LOST fan” and “Free Things to Do in San Francisco,” now enjoying her liberation.
I used to be Christa’s Parrot Information.
I am glad to still be keeping in touch with you all.
I am also sure that td.c will be going under soon. Clearly the business practice is a joke and the dis-honesty will bite them in the a**
: )
Hi! I used to do TV News and Reviews and Shrine to Actors over at Today.com.
Now I’ve at least got a new TV blog up here: http://tvnewsreviews.blogspot.com/
I’ve put a link in to your blog on my site; hope that’s okay!
[...] ex-Today.com blog rolls at LOST for a reason, Hospitalera’s Blog (no longer Golden Prague), Bookishgal, 30 Something And Searching, Tv News and Reviews, and Just Flitting. If you have a blog roll for [...]
Oh my gosh! I cannot believe it – I only really know your blog and TV News and Reviews and they were both excellent. ToDunce.com have really lost the plot!
Emm, I love that! And you’re right. It’s been a major blood bath over there.
Emm, I don’t recognize the name. What did you post over at Today? And cute play on words – ToDunce! LOL!
Umm…Well, Bookish Gal, feel free to add me to your blogroll. My new site is http://www.nonfictionbookreview.com/ and if you could just use Nonfiction Book Review as the title in the link, that’d be awesome!
Thanks – I’ve already added you to my blogroll on my new site!
Havs
Hava, already done.
I’m very disgruntled. Even though I wasn’t kicked out, I decided to stop writing on my glue4families.today.com blog. I have a new blog: movieconn.blogspot.com
The people kicked off were some of my favorite bloggers.
Davida
have you see the latest?
I posted the text of today’s update on my blog… I thought I was about as irked as I could get but I was wrong.
Here’s the bit that REALLY irked me:
“Today.com no longer offers transferring to free blog hosting. If you leave Today.com the URL and content remains online and Today.com reserves the right to reassign the blog with the content (Blogs do not become “inactive”, accounts do.)”

I am going to be working on moving my book reviews here for now.
Hi Carrie! I’ve emailed you with the link to somewhere you can go and catch up with other Exiles. And I’ll change your address in my links here too. You’re in good company. Sorry that other place treated you so very badly. ((hugs))
