Another good teaser from a new (to me) author. Children of the Waters is the book I won during Carleen Brice’s guest visit to one of the LitChat discussions on Twitter a few weeks ago. It’s her latest book, published this year. Ms. Brice has also previously written Orange Mint and Honey.
The Teaser procedure, as you undoubtedly know by now, is for us to take up the latest book we’re reading and let it fall open to a random page, then take two sentences from that page to post as teasers, giving the page numbers as well, but not posting anything that would give away the plot.
This meme is hosted by MizB at the Should be Reading blog. If you’ve got a teaser, head over there and leave yours in the comments, and leave yours here too, if you’re so inclined.
So without further ado, here’s mine for today:
She thought again about the weirdness at the cemetery. What the hell had happened to her sister?
